Fungal Phytopathogenic Spore First Assessment in an Olive Orchard of Northwestern Spain

The most common fungal diseases of Olea europaea are olive leaf spot (Fusicladium oleagineum), anthracnose (Colletotrichum spp.) and cercospora (Pseudocercospora cladosporioides). To know the load during vegetative cycle, an aerobiological phenological study was conducted in grove North-West Spain. For study, Spanish Aerobiological Network protocol followed using a Hirst-type spore trap. goal to assess concentrations atmosphere their relationship with meteorological parameters by applying statistical procedures, including Cluster analysis, Spearman’s correlation test PCA analysis. abundant spores belong Fusicladium, registering double values than Colletotrichum Pseudocercospora. hours highest spores’ presence were from 11:00 12:00 for Fusicladium Colletotrichum, 17:00 18:00 showed positive association between temperature relative humidity concentrations. combination meteorological, is useful tool understand ecological behavior considered phytopathogenic order develop futures strategies integrated management areas at limit this tree distribution.
